PROJECT GUIDES

Custom convectors for project dimensions and shapes

Choose the installation family first

Custom convector enquiries are not limited to equipment recessed in the floor. SOODIA reviews project requirements for Hydronic Trench Convectors, Hydronic Perimeter Convectors, Freestanding Hydronic Convectors and Wall-Mounted Hydronic Convectors. Start by identifying where the appliance will sit and how it relates to glazing, a window sill, a wall or the finished floor. Standard models remain an option when they fit; custom dimensions are considered where the project requires a different arrangement.

Describe a straight, corner or curved layout

For a straight unit, give the required overall length, height and depth and show the connection positions. For a corner layout, provide both leg lengths, the included angle and a plan view. For a curved requirement, provide a dimensioned drawing or CAD outline with the radius or other information that defines the curve. Mark whether the dimensions refer to the casing, grille or building opening. A photograph helps explain the setting but cannot replace a dimensioned drawing. The feasible shape and construction must be confirmed for the selected product family.

Keep thermal and visual requirements together

Changing the appearance or length does not by itself establish the heating output. Include the required duty, supply and return water temperatures, room temperature and whether cooling is needed. For fan-equipped units, state the power supply and control requirements. Add finish references and access constraints. Perimeter installations along glazing may need particular attention to the enclosure and air path; freestanding and wall-mounted units also need a clear connection and maintenance arrangement.

From enquiry to an agreed specification

Send a project brief with drawings, quantities and delivery destination. SOODIA can review the proposed family and configuration, clarify missing dimensions and discuss the applicable technical documents. Confirm the final drawing, finish, connection arrangement and operating conditions before ordering. If OEM or private label supply is required, include the branding and packaging requirements in the enquiry. Pricing, minimum order quantity, sample availability and production timing require a project-specific confirmation; this guide does not promise a universal policy.
